Palm Jebel Ali, which is twice the size of Palm Jumeirah, will
represent a significant milestone in Dubai's growth as a premier global
lifestyle destination. Dubai's Vice President and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin
Rashid, expressed his commitment to delivering innovative and world-class
lifestyle destinations that solidify Dubai's position as the best city in the
world to live, work, and visit. The ambitious Palm Jebel Ali project is a part
of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda
D33, aimed at establishing Dubai as a top city for business and tourism.
Under the approval of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum, Palm Jebel Ali's futuristic development masterplan was given the green
light. Nakheel, a leading Dubai-based real estate master developer, is
undertaking this visionary project as part of their series of transformative
projects. Present during the approval were other prominent figures such as His
Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness
Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid emphasized Dubai's dedication to enhancing
its urban infrastructure and establishing itself as a leading global
metropolis. The Palm Jebel Ali project reflects Dubai's strategic development
plan, which focuses on improving the quality of life and happiness of its
residents. Sheikh Mohammed highlighted Dubai's commitment to embracing
innovation and creativity, leveraging global opportunities, and solidifying its
reputation as a thriving business and tourism hub.
Palm Jebel Ali's urban expansion showcases Dubai's economic vitality
and its role as a hub for talent and investment. The project will contribute to
Dubai's sustainable development by creating new avenues for growth across
various sectors. His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, His Highness
Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Mohammed Ibrahim Al
Shaibani were present during the approval of the masterplan.
Palm Jebel Ali will redefine waterfront living on a global scale,
offering an extensive array of luxury lifestyle amenities for residents,
families, and visitors. It will support Dubai's objective of consolidating its
position as a top city for business and tourism, while also introducing a new
growth corridor in the Jebel Ali area. Spanning an impressive 13.4 square
kilometers, twice the size of Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel Ali will provide abundant
green spaces and unique waterfront experiences. The project will add
approximately 110 kilometers of coastline, offering unrivalled luxury beachside
living for around 35,000 families.
With over 80 hotels and resorts, as well as a wide range of entertainment
and leisure facilities, Palm Jebel Ali will contribute significantly to Dubai's
tourism sector. Additionally, it will establish the archipelago as an
aspirational residential destination within the city. Mohammed Ibrahim
Al-Shaibani expressed his honour to be part of the ground-breaking journey of
Palm Jebel Ali, which will elevate Dubai's growth and position it as a
thriving, sustainable waterfront community and a world-class lifestyle
destination.
In accordance with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, Palm Jebel Ali
will enhance the emirate's urban infrastructure and facilities, increase beach
destinations, support sustainable development, and accommodate the projected
population growth to approximately 5.8 million by 2040. The project will
incorporate contemporary urban planning practices, smart city technologies, and
sustainability measures, ensuring it becomes a global benchmark for waterfront
living. Palm Jebel Ali's design prioritizes sustainability, with plans to
integrate renewable energy resources into its infrastructure, making it nearly
self-sufficient in terms of power generation. As much as 30% of the project's
energy requirements will be obtained from renewable sources.
